Time flies when you are trying to be creative

I realize it's been quite a while since my last post. Partly I was waiting for something interesting to say and partly I kept saying to myself "you've got so much to do, why are you wasting time on the blog?". Franky, I am not sure that I got that much done during this whole time. I mean I spent a lot of time in front of the computer but I don't have that much to show for it. So, conceivably I could have done a number of short posts. Which leads me back to the point that perhaps I just didn't have that much interesting stuff to say. Hence the circularity of this paragraph.

So, what's been going on recently? My fellow group members and I have been working on our prototype project for the media lab. We connected pretty quickly on the new media forms that really interested us, but it took us a little longer to pinpoint the topic of interrogation. What did we actually want to explore/say?

Over the past few months, we have touched the topic of the environment several times. We are not experts or fanatics but we are interested in reducing our negative impact on the world's ecology. We figure that we aren't unlike a large number of people. If we could somehow see how our enviro friendly activities were contributing to a larger effort, them we might be motivated to make more and more changes.

After a lot of discussion we decided to do something that would achieve at least two goals. One, raise awareness of the tons of simple actions that we can take that reduce our impact; and two, show people how their individual actions contribute to the greater whole.
